Summary
This book encourages children to enjoy what they love to do, whether it’s racing cars and playing baseball, or loving unicorns and dressing up. The illustrations help children learn and identify the many colors that surround them every day.
Why I Choose this Book
This book breaks stereotypes that colors have a gender and shows the idea that any color is for any person. I chose the book because growing up I was told that the color pink was only for girls and blue was for boys and that isn’t true because colors are for everyone. The book also hints that just because a boy may like pink or purple it doesn’t make them any less masculine.
