This book is about self worth and determination and being okay in your skin no matter what color or texture of hair you have. It teaches that crying is normal and that you don’t have to agree with everything. The book shows the diversity and inclusion of many people. I choose this book because of the diversity and positive affirmation it teaches through easily understood words and bright, fun illustrations.
